Spring Has Sprung in Farmville

With vaccines going out, restrictions winding down, and the weather warming up, spring in Farmville presents the perfect opportunity to finally get out of the house with safe, socially distanced outdoor events and festivals, outdoor activities, and more! Here are a few activities and events we are looking forward to this spring in Farmville;

Events:

Sunny spring weather creates the perfect occasion for safe, socially distanced outdoor events.

Celebrate Kids to Parks Day with the Fish & Bike Edition on May 15th! This free event will teach kids basic fishing skills, with fishing under the iconic High Bridge at the banks of the Appomattox River. The event will also invite kids to learn biking without training wheels, or mountain biking for more experienced riders.

High Bridge Trail State Park will host the annual National Trails Day 5k run in celebration of National Trails Day, on June 5th. The race follows an out-and-back course with proceeds benefit the Friends of High Bridge Trail State Park.

Come spend the day in the lavender fields and under the oaks visiting friends and making new ones, at the Evergreen Lavender Festival on June 19th! The festival will feature Artisan vendors, U-pick lavender, Food trucks, Live Music, and much more!
